The theme for this year’s Year 5 Orientation was Soliel (French for 'sun'), which captures the optimism of the newest members of the RI community as they entered the charmingly-decorated Multi-Purpose Hall on 3 February. Although the Year 5s came from different backgrounds, the Year 6 seniors ensured that they soon got to know each other through meticulously-planned games that included Quidditch and escape rooms. The Year 6 organisers had also come up with a fun circus-themed storyline, a batch song—Time of Our Lives— as well as the traditional batch dances.

The Orientation concluded with the exciting O’Nite, which saw performances by Year 5s and OGLs (Orientation Group Leaders) alike, and a throwback video by the AV Unit and Raffles Photographic Society that captured the fun and memorable times they had experienced over the past four days.
