  • taken by Matthew Toh and Esther Chin for Deck the Walls 2017, a project by the Raffles Photographic Society (Year 5-6)

Rugby shares over a century of history with Raffles Institution. We were the first school to take up the sport; incidentally, rugby was the first game to be played in Raffles Institution. Up until 1953/4, rugby in Raffles was played purely on an intra-school basis. Through the years, Raffles has gained a reputation as one of the premier schools of rugby in Singapore, producing many talented players and leaders for the national squad.
