Important Note
Eligibility Requirements:
Male Singaporean citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents, or International students who meet all of the following criteria:
i. Pursuing Secondary 2 of the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) examination in local mainstream secondary schools in the year of application
ii. Outstanding talent in academic studies, sports, music, or art
iii. Excellent PSLE and academic results in Secondary 1 and Secondary 2
Students who were admitted into their current Secondary School via the DSA-Sec or are in a 6-year Integrated Programme (IP) will NOT be considered.
Shortlisted students will be required to sit for an admissions examination. The admissions examination comprises 3 academic placement tests: English, Mathematics and Science. Selected students may be further shortlisted for an interview.
An application fee of S$50.00 is payable via PayNow. Detailed payment instructions will be provided in the application form during the application period.
We are committed to helping students experience the full Rafflesian education, regardless of their financial background. Information regarding waiver of the application fee will be shared in the application form.
Meeting all criteria does not guarantee that an applicant will be shortlisted or given a place in RI. We will not disclose details of the Y3 Admission selection process or interviews and reserve the right to neither discuss nor disclose reasons for non-selection.

Academic Placement Tests (for shortlisted applicants) Three Academic Placement Tests will be held over two afternoons at Raffles Institution. Please note that there are no make-up tests. Applicants must complete and submit the online application form from 17 Aug 2026, 9am - 24 Aug 2026, 12pm. Please note that the form will only be accessible during the application period.
