Tigers in the Park: Book Tour by battlefield archaeologist Jon Cooper
Battlefield archaeologist and friend of the Raffles Archives & Museum Mr Jon Cooper recently launched his latest book, Tigers in the Park: The War Time Heritage of Adam Park. On 30 May we had the honour of listening to him share his findings, and joining him on an eye-opening tour of Adam Park and Sime Road--where prisoners of war were housed and some of the bloodiest World War II battles took place.
Jon Cooper is the manager of The Adam Park Project and has been researching the history of the World War II battles that took place in the Adam Park, Sime Road and Thompson areas for the past seven years. He has also brought our Year 3 and 4 Raffles Academy (History) students and teachers to Adam Park. He gave a talk to our Year 3 students earlier this year.
