At RI Boarding, we cultivate a genuine and palpable sense of community within our state-of-the-art facilities and acclaimed boarding services.
RI Boarding was opened in 1995 to serve the housing and pastoral needs of overseas scholars as well as for the Raffles Boarding Programme.
At RI Boarding, we cultivate a genuine and palpable sense of community within our state-of-the-art facilities and acclaimed boarding services. Throughout the years, a multitude of local and international students have chosen RI Boarding as their sanctuary, fostering resilience, independence, and interpersonal skills in the process.
Our boarding accommodations comprise four 4-storey blocks and a 13-storey block, providing a capacity to house up to 500 students.

We provide Halal as well as vegetarian meal options.
Boarders can enjoy breakfast and dinner at the Shaw Foundation Dining Hall daily. Lunch will be served at the Hall on weekends and holidays.

Prep
Prep Time is an essential study period scheduled after dinner on Sunday to Thursday evenings (except during holidays). Residential assistants and boarding mentors ensure students study in their rooms or at assigned venues.
Raffles Boarding Programme
The RBP is a capstone cohort-wide programme where all our Year 3 students undertake a 4-week residential experience in Term 1, 2 or 3.
Through a residential stint at RI Boarding with local and international students from RI and neighbouring schools, Rafflesians learn life skills essential for independence, inter-dependence and service to community. The RBP also provides opportunities for personal growth and leadership development through workshops, talks, and experiential activities.
