About the Programme
Helmed by the Humanities Department, the Marco Polo Programme invites passionate Year 2 students to extend their learning beyond the core Raffles Programme. It broadens their perspectives by introducing multidisciplinary topics, interdisciplinary approaches and contemporary issues that deepen their understanding of current affairs.
Students engage with a range of experiences, from inquiry-based and concept-driven lessons to field trips, collaborative projects and seminars led by external partners and guest speakers. These opportunities help our students explore how historical and geographical knowledge is constructed, while sharpening their Humanities lens to better understand the human and natural world.
By fostering sensitivity to diverse communities and encouraging reflective thinking, the Marco Polo Programme empowers our students to exercise agency and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
