About the Programme
At Raffles Institution, we believe that language is not only a tool for communication, but also a bridge between cultures and a vehicle for thought. Our Chinese curriculum not only develops students’ language proficiency, but also aims to spark their curiosity and creativity - encouraging them to broaden their horizons, deepen their empathy, and boldly explore their unique strengths through the learning process.
We offer Chinese B, H1 Chinese, and H2 Chinese Language and Literature courses. Through a diverse range of texts, interdisciplinary inquiry, and interactive learning, students experience the richness and beauty of the Chinese language in authentic contexts. We encourage them to keep experimenting, exploring, and enjoying the process of learning.
We hope that every student, through their journey of learning Chinese, will develop the ability to think independently and creatively - discovering their goals through experimentation and reflection, and embracing the world’s diversity with openness and curiosity. In doing so, they will grow into bilingual individuals who contribute to social progress.
