Joint Admissions Exercise
The JAE is conducted annually and centrally managed by the Ministry of Education (MOE) to allow Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level certificate holders to apply for admission to courses offered by Junior Colleges (JC), Millennia Institute (MI), Polytechnics and Institute of Technical Education (ITE).
Important Notes
Eligibility: Please refer to MOE's website (opens in new tab) for detailed information about the JAE.
Applicants who have been allocated to their posted school via the Direct School Admission for Junior Colleges (DSA-JC) Exercise are not eligible to participate in the JAE Appeal Exercise.
For appeals to a JC course, students have to first meet the cut-off point of the course for that year’s JAE. Eligible appeals will be considered, subject to available vacancies and the school’s admission criteria.
RI’s net cut-off points for AY2026: 5 (Arts stream) & 3 (Science stream)
