The school warmly congratulates the Class of 2022 on their impressive achievements at the A-Level Examinations. Despite the numerous uncertainties and challenges faced as we emerged from the pandemic, the Class of 2022 persevered and rose to the occasion, displaying remarkable resilience, determination and adaptability. In epitomising the true Rafflesian Spirit of Excellence, they displayed graciousness and generosity of heart in giving back to the community with their gifts and talents, serving in a multitude of ways both large and small.

A Year of Excellence and Service

In the academic domain, Rafflesians from the Class of 2022 excelled on the international stage, bringing home nine medals for Singapore at the International Olympiads for Biology, Geography and Physics. Our students were also part of the team that achieved 1st Team placing at the Online Young Physicists’ Tournament.

Our student athletes also did well in the National School Games, which saw a return to normalcy after years of disruptions due to the pandemic. The athletes brought home 13 Gold, 13 Silver and 11 Bronze medals.

In the arts and aesthetics, our drama students performed well at the Singapore Youth Festival of Arts Presentation, achieving three Certificates of Accomplishments under Raffles Players and Chinese Literacy Drama Cultural Society (CLDCS).
As pandemic restrictions eased, the Class of 2022 came together to serve the community, initiating a total of 87 community service projects and finding meaningful ways to give back to society.

Notably, some 30 students from the Class of 2022 contributed to two group tutoring programmes at Guangyang Secondary School and Naval Base Primary School between 2021 and 2022. Amidst pandemic restrictions, they took on the challenge of connecting with younger students online, tutoring 50 students who came from the Primary 5, Primary 6 and Secondary 3 levels. The Class of 2022 showed us that youthful enthusiasm can overcome obstacles to building connections.

The school celebrates the efforts, achievements and unique contributions of the Class of 2022. We would like to thank the RI Board of Governors, our team of dedicated teachers and support staff, parents, as well as alumni from the larger Rafflesian community. Their commitment to the school and unstinting support have enabled RI to uphold its tradition of excellence and service to the nation.
