Higher Education Office


At the Higher Education Office, our teacher-counsellors work directly with individual students to realise their career and higher education aspirations. The following guides and resources have been created to help students prepare their university applications.

Updated! Our Timelines Guide 2024/25 for UK and US Applications and the UCAS guide for 2024/25 applications have been published for alumni. Do also refer to our writing guides to start on your application statement and essays. Year 6 students may refer to the resources on Ivy. All applicants are reminded to adhere to all internal RI deadlines for timely submission.

Applying to UK Universities

For students interested in applying to UK universities in the 2024/2025 cycle, refer to the Timelines Guide 2024/25 and adhere to all internal RI deadlines for timely submission. You may now create your UCAS account by following our guide below. The UK personal statement guide has also been published if you need some guidance in crafting your statement. You may submit your statement for written feedback in Sep. Instructions will be posted then. 

NEW! Alumni intending to apply to Oxford or Cambridge (any course), or to Medicine / Dentistry / Veterinary medicine (at any UK universities), please register your intention with HEO using the link to the form below. This is necessary so that we can ensure your app is submitted on time. 

 

Applying to US Colleges

For students interested in applying to US universities in the 2024/2025 cycle, kindly watch this space. The 2024/25 cycle Timelines Guide has been updated and our Common App + CIALFO guide will be shared in mid-August. Please do not create your accounts until then. The HEO guide to writing your US application has also been published so do refer to this if you need some guidance in writing your applications. You may submit your essays for written feedback in Sep. Instructions will be posted then.

Applying to other overseas universities

Beyond Singapore, the UK and US, our students go on to global destinations, such as in Australia, Japan, Europe, Canada, and beyond. These universities include the University of British Columbia, Waseda University, University of Kyoto, University of Sydney, Sci-Po, and many more.

The HEO supports applications to all destinations as required. Do inform us at least 3-4 weeks in advance if you need supporting documents to be sent to your universities. 
 

Contact Information

The Higher Education Office is open on Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, 2pm-5pm. We are not open during public and school holidays as well as during exam periods. We do not accept walk-ins; all appointments are scheduled. 

Alumni, if you have questions or require counsel, please write to us at this email address, and we’ll be happy to help you where possible.

If you require documents to be sent to your universities via hardcopy mailing, please approach us at least 4 weeks in advance.
