Theodore Roosevelt once said, “With self-discipline most anything is possible.” While strength and speed may guarantee success in many sports, it is a force of mind and the ability to maintain a razor-sharp focus that makes the best shooters. The goal is always to challenge yourself to be a better shooter, rather than win that coveted prize or title. Such is the strength and uniqueness of Shooting.Shooting itself does not require running. Nor does it require jumping. Yet the stamina required to fire off pellet after pellet is no less. We have our very own shooting range in School, giving shooters the opportunity to hone their skills during our training sessions. With the Y1-4 and Y5-6 shooters occasionally sharing the same range, there is plenty of opportunity for juniors and seniors to learn from one another. For a sport that exemplifies mind over matter, perhaps the greatest lesson Shooting can offer, is that we strive not for perfection, but to always become a better version of ourselves; to continually seek improvement. If you are ready to challenge yourself and be the best you can be, Raffles Shooting Club is the place for you!
