Raffles Institution

Raffles Interact

Chartered on 26th October 1963, the Raffles Institution Interact Club is a Service Club that spearheads Community Service in the school. Standing for International Action, it is a Rotary International sponsored club, with over 10, 000 other sister Interact Clubs in more than 110 countries.

The RI Interact Club, bearing in mind the Interact Motto of "Progress Through Service" strives to nurture empathy and community leadership in her members, by enabling them to take part in and organize Community Service Projects both locally and overseas. At the same time, through these actions, Interactors aim to extend a helping hand to those in need, and also show that community service can be both fun and meaningful for all. In addition, the Interact Club also seeks to open avenues for personal and group action, leading to the advancement of international understanding and goodwill towards all people.

Matching members varying interests and strengths, the Interact Club works closely with various beneficiaries, on projects of a vastly different nature, from a A Day Out Learning Journey for Underprivileged Kids to a Lunar New Year Dinner for Seniors.

As such, we hope that through service, every interactor can come out as a better person, equipped with important qualities of the human spirit - love and compassion, patience, a sense of responsibility and a sense of harmony - traits which bring happiness to both oneself and others.
