The Raffles Institution Indian Cultural Society (ICS) has always had a vibrant history of cultivating young talents, stressing the importance of preserving Indian culture and organising meaningful events to give back to the community.

Led by the executive committee of 2017, ICS took part in the National Tamil Debate, Sorsilambam and after the clash of wits and words with tertiary institutions around the island, we came in 2nd place. Our members also clinched the championship trophy at NUS Tamil Language Society’s Vocabulary Competition, Yuththam after putting up a tough fight. In Addition, ICS also staged its annual Indian cultural variety show, Sangamam, with a unique family-mystery plot entitled Viyoogam. In addition to gaining attention from the media as well as the public, this year's show undoubtedly reinvigorated the passion for Indian culture among the youths who attended the show. The Raffles Indian Cultural Society has always been constantly striving for greater heights together as a CCA. Beyond cultural activities such as performances and participating in literary competitions, the CCA has grown, expanding its reach in the community. Members of the CCA also participated in the SINDA Youth Leaders Seminar which served as an enriching platform to discuss issues faced by the Indian community in Singapore today. With many community as well as creative initiatives, ICS continues to serve as an exciting place to forge new friendships and discover one’s self while growing as a family.
