Total Defence Day marks the anniversary of Singapore's fall to the Japanese during WWII, and our Year 1-4 school community commemorated it on 14 February. The ceremony was a solemn one that featured our uniformed groups, as we remembered the Rafflesians who lost their lives defending Singapore during the war. At the same time, we reflected on how every Singaporean has a part to play in keeping our homeland safe.

There are many ways in which Singaporeans can contribute to our nation's defence; our Year 6 cohort learnt more about about Social Defence through a sharing session with Mr Cai Yinzhou, founder of Geylang Adventures. Mr Cai's project focuses on effecting positive social change for Geylang's migrant worker community.

Meanwhile, the Year 5 cohort went on their first learning journey as a cohort at the Singapore Discovery Centre, where they learnt more about cyber defence through interactive exhibits.
