The Edusave Entrance Scholarships for Independent Schools (EESIS) is awarded to the top one-third of students posted to Secondary One in all independent schools, based on their PSLE results.

Music Elective Programme
Students under the MOE's Special Programmes - Music Elective Programme will be given fees subsidy. The quantum of fees subsidy will be similar to the EESIS.

Singapore-MOE Award (SMA) for Non-Singapore Citizens

• The MOE offers the SMA to GEP pupils who are non-Singapore citizens, provided that:
  • they have met the GEP promotion criteria; and
  • they are enrolled in the Integrated Programme in an Independent School at Secondary One.

• The MOE revised the award quantum for SMA to a fixed quantum of $2,400 per annum in 2008.

• RI students who are Singapore Permanent Residents and awarded the SMA in or after 2008 have to pay $ 160 per month for their school fees in the 2008 academic year. Students who are foreigners and awarded the SMA in or after 2008 have to pay $400 per month for their school fees in the 2008 academic year.

• The tenure of the scholarship is 6 years for pupils in the Integrated Programme. The scholar must make good progress each year in order to continue receiving the scholarship.
