The Raffles Archives and Museum Club prides itself as the preserver of Raffles Institution’s long, illustrious history that dates back to 1823. In addition to preserving the narrative of Singapore’s first institution of formal education, the club also aims to spread the story of the school to both the Rafflesian community, past and present, and the general public. With this in mind, the museum frequently hosts visitors for school events such as the annual RI Open House, while regularly arranging lively discussions and interviews with alumni of the school.
Beyond the work done by the club to engage the community at large, the Raffles Archives and Museum constantly aims to sharpen its members’ skill sets through regular field trips and seminars. It is the hope of the club that through a shared vision of chronicling Raffles Institution’s extensive history, the narrative of our institution’s glorious history will be preserved for millennia to come.
