EW Barker Institute of Sports

At EWBIS, we provide students with guidance, space, and resources to conduct studies in sports science, medicine, education, and administration. Students present their projects and findings at the annual Science Symposium.

EWBIS was named for Mr Edmund William Barker, an alumnus who was also Singapore’s first Minister for Law.

Youth Sports Science Symposium 2020

The next Sports Science Symposium will be held on 29 January 2020 at our campus.

This is a half-day educational symposium specifically designed for student-athletes who are keen to improve their sports performance as well as learn about the latest research and studies in the field of youth sports. It also provides an excellent platform for youths from various schools to come together and share the findings of their school projects.

Participants can look forward to:

  • Sharing by sports researchers
  • Poster presentations focusing on topical issues in youth sports
  • Hands-on workshops
  • Networking opportunities for shared interests

To register for the event, please indicate your interest here by 30 November 2019.
