About SJChO
The Singapore Junior Chemistry Olympiad (SJChO) is a competition organised by the Singapore National Institute of Chemistry (SNIC) in partnership with Raffles Institution and NUS High School of Math & Science, supported by the Ministry of Education and the National University of Singapore.
SJChO provides a platform for all upper secondary (or equivalent levels) students to challenge themselves in the chemical knowledge and skills. It also seeks to promote the excitement in learning and doing Chemistry as well as to identify and develop chemistry talents.

The Competition
There are 2 rounds of competition and the first round is the theory section which comprises of:

Selection process
(a) Teams of 3 students will be selected based on scores in the first round.
The list of invited students for the second round will be released on this website 2 weeks from the first round of competition.
(b) A team of top 3 students (based on scores in the first round) from each school will be formed for schools which send in at least 10 students.
The final results of the competition will only be released after both rounds of competition.
Awards
Gold/silver/bronze/merit awards will be presented to the students based on the total marks scored in the first round and second round of the competition. Certificates of participation will be awarded to all other students.
