Founder's Day 2018

We celebrated RI's 195 Founder's Day on 28 July with the traditional ceremony, the annual Gryphon Recall for alumni of various CCAs, and ARTStage, an exhibition that showcased works by our Art and Music students.

The Guest of Honour for the ceremony was Mr Ng Chee Meng, Minister, Prime Minister’s Office, and Secretary-General, NTUC. Among the accolades given out were the All Round Excellence awards, Sports and Arts awards, Community Service awards, and Long Service awards (for dedicated staff of the school). The Stamford Raffles Awards were presented to Fu Xianli and See Chung Yi for their exemplary student leadership and service to community. Both students also nominated an inspiring teacher from their primary schools for the Promethean Award for Teaching.

After the ceremony, guests explored ARTStage, an exhibition featuring works by our Art students, and soundscapes created by our Music students and their peers from Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary School. Alumni also reconnected with old friends, juniors and former teachers at Gryphon Recall
