The Time Capsule Story

The Raffles Archives and Museum curated a collection of 200 artefacts for the RI200 Time Capsule. These artefacts, curated from different points in RI’s journey towards the bicentenary year, offers a glimpse of this time in history to future Rafflesians. Participants witnessed the placing of selected artefacts into the Time Capsule by Mr Chan, Mr Bey Soo Khiang (Chairman of the RI Board of Governors), Mr Choo Chiau Beng (Past Chairman of the RI Board of Governors), Mr Frederick Yeo (PRI), Mr Dennis Foo (ORA President) and Mr S Magendiran (Advisor, Special Projects and Alumni Relations). In Mr Chan’s letter to future Rafflesians (the 200th artefact in the Time Capsule), he exhorts Rafflesians to answer a higher calling and to serve a wider cause to keep our colours flying.
