"To Scouting in Raffles with Love" Book Launch

On 27 March 2021 (Saturday), 800 days to RI's Bicentennial, the Raffles Scouts luminaries were present for the launch of the book "To Scouting in Raffles with Love", organised by the Raffles Chapter of the Singapore Scout Guild. This book recalls the illustrious history of scouting in RI. Among those present were Dr Tan Cheng Bock, and King's Scouts Mr Lye Kwok Teow and Mr Ong Chew Liang, both who will be turning 90 years old this year!

Guest-of-honour ESM Goh Chok Tong fondly recounted his youth in Raffles Scouts and his days as a student in RI. He launched the book at the ceremony and presented tokens of appreciation to donors and the editor of the book.

The 01 Raffles and 02 Raffles Scout Troops worked hard to put up their scout craft display. To mark the start of the countdown to the centennial celebrations of the 02 Raffles Troop, there was the unveiling of their centennial banner by ESM Goh, who was from 02 Raffles. The 02 Raffles Troop will be celebrating their centennial in February next year.
