Our Year 1-3 students commemorated Deepavali and bonded with friends on 31 October by making Thoranam, traditional Hindu decorations that mark auspicious occasions. Each class was provided with coconut leaves, mango leaves and marigold flowers, and members of the Indian Cultural Club taught their peers to weave the thoranam through demonstrations and instructional videos. The completed thoranam were then hung outside the classrooms in the Marshall and Sheares Blocks.
