Team Singapore, comprising Rafflesians Fu Xinghong (team captain), Hu Yongao, Liu Haixuan and Jerry Han, and Russell Yang from the NUS High School of Math and Science, has emerged Champions at the International Young Physicists' Tournament.

This year's edition of the IYPT was held in Beijing, China from 19 to 26 July, and it was hosted by the Department of Physics at the Renmin University of China. Student representatives from a total of 32 countries participated in team-oriented challenges to provide solutions to 17 scientific problem. At the finals, Team Singapore had a face-off with the teams from Korea, China and Germany, which culminated in an intense five-hour debate.
